SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for the manufacture of an individual impression tray within the boundaries of the neutral zone of the mucous membrane of the prosthetic bed of the edentulous jaw. On the crest of the alveolar process of the plaster model, marks are applied at a distance of 1 cm from each other using a fluid composite material. A plaster model of the edentulous jaw is scanned using a 3D scanner. A digital image of a plaster model is loaded into the virtual space of the CAD/CAM software, transverse sections are created perpendicular to the base of the edentulous jaw model through marks on the alveolar process, and contours of the transversal sections are obtained. A point is fixed on each cut corresponding to the mark on the plaster model. The points within the upper and lower boundaries of the neutral zone are determined. The points are transferred to the plaster model for each cut, then the points are connected and a contour line is obtained to model the edge of an individual impression tray.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the accuracy of determining the neutral zone which is of great importance at the stage of obtaining a functional impression in the manufacture of complete removable laminar dentures in patients with complete absence of teeth, the method is simple to perform and does not depend on the qualifications, experience and manual skills of an orthopedic dentist.
