FIELD: railway rolling stock.
SUBSTANCE: braking system of a long-wheelbase railway car contains a brake line, two sets of brake equipment, each has a cargo-type air distributor with a spare tank and a pressure switch connected by a flexible hose through the auto mode to the air duct of the brake cylinders located on the bogie frame and actuating the brake leverage. In the first option of the brake system, the brake cylinders are filled from a spare reservoir, in the second option - from a supply reservoir additionally installed in each set of the brake equipment, in the third option - from a separate supply reservoir common to two sets.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and reliability of the braking system of a long-wheelbase railway car.
