FIELD: railway engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway vehicles, in particular, to the braking equipment of long-wheelbase freight cars, flat wagons and special rolling stock. The brake system of a railway vehicle includes a pneumatic cargo-type air distributor connected by supply air ducts to the brake line and the control cavities of two pressure switches, a common supply air duct with a spare tank and pressure relay feed valves connected by exhaust air ducts by means of automatic modes with two groups of brake cylinders that actuate brake lever gears. The air distributor, pressure switch, inlet and outlet air ducts are rigidly fixed on a separate bracket forming a removable module mounted on the frame of a railway vehicle, with the possibility of connecting the air ducts located in the module with the air ducts of the brake system located on the frame of a railway vehicle by means of quick-release couplings.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency and reliability of the braking system of a railway vehicle as a result of simplifying its design, which ensures the constancy of the pressure in the brake cylinder during braking and does not depend on changes in its internal volume when the piston or a number of brake cylinders move, reducing the time and cost of maintenance and repair of the brake system.
