SUBSTANCE: method for express assessment of the state of protective coatings includes the steps of preparing the surface, conducting tests, obtaining and analysing the results, while determining the state of the paintwork by changing its electrical resistance during operation and aging, measured by an electrical measuring device with an adapted probe, and comparing obtained values of electrical resistance with hardness, adhesion and area of microcracks on the coating, allowing to establish the current state of the coating.

EFFECT: reduction in the complexity of determining the state of protective coatings.
