FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment and concerns a laser method for determining the technical condition of ammunition and their elements. Method includes direction of laser beam to surface of investigated area with frequency of line scanning, determined by minimum detectable defects, and fixation of reflected signal by receiving device. Reflected signal is converted into electric signal and supplied to the electronic signal processing unit on a PC by two components: by variation of wavelength and fixation of time interval between incident and reflected pulse of separate beams of laser flow at interaction with material of ammunition element or shot element.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and reliability of data on technical condition of ammunition, automation of process of measurement control and improvement of its safety.
