SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the production of castings from high-temperature alloys for parts of aerospace, automotive, nuclear, chemical, metallurgical and other industries. Water-colloidal binder for ceramic suspensions contains silica sol, polyvinyl alcohol, defoamer Penta-475 and surfactant-wetting agent. A non-ionic surfactant is used as a surfactant-wetting agent, which is a mixture of primary ethoxylated higher fatty alcohols of C14-C15 fractions in the following ratio of binder ingredients, wt.% for silica sol: a mixture of primary ethoxylated higher fatty alcohols of fractions C14-C15 - 0.002-0.02, defoamer Penta-475 - no more than 0.005, polyvinyl alcohol - 0.005-0.015.
EFFECT: prevention of a chemical reaction between aluminium, which is part of the ceramic suspension, and water, which is part of the binder, with the release of explosive combustible hydrogen.
