FIELD: foundry.

SUBSTANCE: method of making ceramic shell moulds for casting on sand-polymer burnt patterns produced by 3D printing, includes production of foundry patterns from sand-polymer mixture, infiltration of foundry patterns with pattern composition, application and hardening of multilayer refractory ceramic coating with water binder, burning of patterns and removal of unbound sand from the produced shell mould. Patterns are made from sand-polymer mixture containing quartz sand and binder by 3D printing on 3D printer. Infiltration of patterns with a model composition, for example, wax or paraffin, is carried out at temperature of 80–90 °C by dipping method. Burning of patterns and hardening of multilayer refractory ceramic coating is carried out at heating to 720 °C. At complete burn-out of polymer binder of patterns, loose sand is removed from ceramic shell mould.

EFFECT: faster production of high-precision complex castings.
