FIELD: cosmetics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the treatment or prevention of keratin damage in keratin-containing tissue. A method for treating or preventing damage to keratin in a keratin-containing tissue comprises applying a cosmetic composition comprising molecules bearing at least one photosensitive functional group and at least one photoinitiator to the said keratin-containing tissue; keeping for processing with exposure to the specified keratin-containing tissue of light having a wavelength suitable for the activation of at least one specified photoinitiator, while photosensitive functional groups are selected from acrylates, methacrylates, vinylbenzene, alkynes and combinations thereof; moreover, molecules bearing at least one photosensitive functional group are obtained by functionalization of amino acids, saccharides and/or fatty acids, and/or their residues; wherein the keratin-containing tissue is human or animal hair. Also a cosmetic composition is disclosed, its use for the treatment or prevention of keratin damage, a set of components for the treatment or prevention of keratin damage.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides a long-term effect on the hair, which lasts for at least six months.
