FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for antegrade transhepatic brush biopsy of the bile ducts in patients with tumour strictures of the extrahepatic bile ducts. The device for antegrade brush biopsy of the bile ducts includes a handle and a working part. Moreover, the handle includes a handle, a working rigid tube and a port for the introduction of a contrast agent. The working part consists of a flexible tube, a guidewire with a brush at the distal end, two radiopaque marks along the edges of the brush, and a distal tip with a channel for inserting the outer end of the transhepatic guidewire through it. The handle is equipped with finger rests to ensure reciprocating movements of the brush with its exit from the tube and return. The flexible tube of the working part is two-channel: one channel of the flexible tube is a working channel for a guidewire with a brush at the distal end, and the other channel has a bevelled distal end and is intended for inserting a transhepatic guidewire through it.

EFFECT: using the invention allows to sample cytological material from the affected area of the extrahepatic yellow ducts with high efficiency, reducing the risks of postoperative complications.
