FIELD: elevated railways.
SUBSTANCE: method of operation of the transport system with robotic transport platforms moving along the main rail tracks installed above the ground on supports, which includes goods being transported along the main rail tracks on robotic transport platforms, on which passengers and goods are also transported in cars mounted on robotic wheeled transport platforms. At the same time, robotic wheeled transport platforms are loaded at the loading site and moved along the rail section with acceleration to the main track, and are moved to the unloading site along the rail section with deceleration. A transport system is also claimed, containing a main rail track installed above the ground on supports, robotic transport platforms, loading and unloading platforms connected by rails to the main rail track. In this case, the rail section connecting the loading area and the main track is the acceleration rail section, and the rail section connecting the main track and the unloading area is the deceleration rail section.
EFFECT: increase of efficiency of cargo delivery.
