FIELD: medical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in cardiac surgery during operations to replace heart valves. The prosthesis of the mitral valve of the heart includes an oval body limited by distal and proximal end surfaces, and a locking element installed in the body with the possibility of rotation to form a passage section and its overlap made in the form of a single leaf. The oval body includes a hemispherical part, two flat sections and a cylindrical shell. Curved grooves are made on the flat sections of the body. Curved protrusions are made on the outer part of the sash posts. The section of the bent protrusion is 0.9 of the section of the bent groove. The ratio of the length of the camber to the camber is 3:1. In the open state, the cusp and the inner surface of the body form a passage opening in the form of a confuser with a surface of a hyperboloid of revolution to ensure a physiological blood flow from the left atrium to the ventricle.
EFFECT: maintaining the physiological structure of the blood flow in the open and closed state of the valve.
