FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pediatrics and cardiology, and can be used to identify individuals with a predisposition to premature development of atherosclerosis with a progressive course in order to put them on a dispensary record for early preventive and therapeutic measures. The level of apolipoprotein A1 and apolipoprotein B is determined in the blood serum. The ApoB/ApoA1 ratio is calculated. With the value of this ratio equal to 0.645 and higher, heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to diagnose a disease without taking a family history, assessing a lipid profile and performing genetic testing.
