SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict the stiffness of the vascular wall in children with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). The average pulse wave velocity in the aorta is calculated according to the developed mathematical formula, taking into account clinical (age, presence of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) and laboratory (endothelin-1 concentration, low-density lipoprotein, triglycerides) parameters. With lower values and equal values of the average pulse wave velocity in the aorta for boys and girls under the age of 10 years — 4.6 m/s, 11–13 years — 5.0 m/s, over 13 years for boys — 5.6 m/s, for girls — 5.2 m/s, respectively, the normal rigidity of the vascular wall is registered. When the value of the average speed of the pulse wave in the aorta is higher than these values, an increase in the rigidity of the vascular wall is noted.

EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy of pulse wave velocity prediction in children with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia by taking into account clinical (age, presence of heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) and laboratory (endothelin-1 concentration, low-density lipoprotein, triglycerides) parameters.
