FIELD: non-ferrous metal alloys; corrosion inhibition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the inhibition of corrosion of metal materials, and can be used to protect against highly localized (ulcerative, pitting) corrosion of products made of magnesium alloys, including medical purposes - bioresorbable, biocompatible implants. The essence of the invention is that an artificial source of corrosion is created in a magnesium alloy product by pressing an indenter into the magnesium alloy of metal particles that have a different electrode potential compared to magnesium, as a result of which the magnesium alloy matrix at the indentation site begins to deteriorate more intensively than the main volume of the product, in which localized corrosion processes are completely suppressed.
EFFECT: creation of an effective and relatively easy-to-implement method for controlling localized corrosion in magnesium alloys.
