FIELD: polymer compositions.
SUBSTANCE: method for obtaining sized glass fibres and polymer compositions intended for use as structural polymeric materials in additive technologies. Polymer composition includes polyesterimide (80% of mass) and glass fibre treated with a mixture of polyesterimide and di(4-aminophenyl)-methane (20% of mass). Treating composition is composed of a solution of polyetherimide and di(4-aminophenyl)-methane with a mass concentration of 0.34% in chloroform, and applied keeping the glass fibres with the specified solution at a temperature of 20°C for 30 min in an ultrasonic bath with a working power of 35 kHz, after which a temperature is increased step by step in nitrogen gas medium with simultaneous distillation of the solvent and exposure to ultrasound at the following modes: 35°C - 15 min, 45°C - 15 min, 55°C - 15 min, 60°C - 20 min, 62°C - 10 min. The number of components of the treated fibre corresponds to the following ratio, in % by weight: glass fibre 97.5, polyesterimide 2.08-2.46, di(4-aminophenyl)-methane 0.04-0.42.
EFFECT: improvement of the melt flow rate and impact strength of the glass fibre polyesterimide composition created due to introduction of a treating composition, which increases the wettability of the filler and increases the intermolecular interactions between the glass fibre and the polyesterimide matrix.
