FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to outpatient surgery. An economical resection of the edge of the nail plate with a width of 5 mm is carried out. The germinal matrix is removed with a Volkmann spoon. At the same time, the germinal matrix is first removed, then 1 ml of Verrukacid is applied on the bed of the removed matrix for 3 minutes. After that, the matrix bed is re-cleaned with a small curet, and a control treatment of the bed is performed for 3 minutes with 1 ml of Verrukacid.
EFFECT: method allows to minimize the pain syndrome after surgical treatment, minimizing postoperative complications, minimizing the likelihood of recurrence of an ingrown nail due to surgical and chemical effects on the germinal matrix, reducing the period of disability by a factor of three compared to previous treatment in the presented patients, and improving the quality of life.
