FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: lifting and lifting devices used primarily in the oil and gas industry in the process of round trips. Universal pipe elevator includes a body articulated with a bracket, a replaceable gripper for pipes, a replaceable insert, a gripper handle, a body handle, fingers, a spring-loaded latch that interacts with the gripper, forming together a locking mechanism, a leash for controlling the latch, a cover for attaching the latch to the body. The body is made with cylindrical shape with two loops parallel to each other, in the lower part of the body there is a mouth for inserting the pipe, on the blind side the mouth has a radial shape, inside the body there is a cylindrical bore forming in the lower part of the body a support platform for installing the insert and the gripper. The replaceable gripper is made in the shape of a crescent, the replaceable insert and the replaceable gripper together in the "open" position form a mouth for inserting the pipe, and in the "closed" position they form a closed ring, which forms a closed elevator shape. The gripper is brought into the "open" or "closed" position by turning around its axis with the help of the gripper handle, on the outer side of the gripper there is a threaded hole with a countersink for turning the handle and an annular groove interacting with the locking screws limiting the gripper from falling out upwards. The grip handle contains an annular shoulder, which sinks into the countersink of the gripper when it is installed and protects it from turning away, due to the annular shoulder of the handle stopping against the inner wall of the body, after the gripper is installed in the body and fixed with locking screws during operation. On the gripper handle there are wrench flats for turning it in and a threaded connection on the side of the annular shoulder for connection with the gripper. The replaceable insert is made in form of a crescent, on which holes are made that interact with the pins installed in the housing support area for its fixation. The spring-loaded latch is located in the rear wall of the housing, to accommodate which there is a longitudinal hole with different diameters and a square bore for the cover, the larger diameter is designed to accommodate the latch in it, and the small one, in which a threaded connection is made, is designed for attaching the cover to the elevator housing with a bolt, which simultaneously serves as an axis for the latch and for the possibility of its rotation around its axis relative to the bolt. On the outer side of the housing in the region of the longitudinal hole for the latch, a horizontal slot is made, which communicates with the longitudinal hole for the possibility of the working movement of the leash, through which the leash is installed in the latch. The latch is made in form of a sleeve with an internal hole and two diametral collars, one of the collars has a flat that performs the function of locking and opening the gripper. The latch contains a threaded hole located perpendicular to the inner hole of the latch, for installing a leash, with which the latch is actuated, on the second shoulder of the latch at the edge of the outer diameter, a hole is made for installing and fixing the spring, on the side of the second shoulder of the latch, a diametrically directed protrusion is made at the end under the spring, the spring is made in form of a torsion spiral, one end of which is connected to the cover, and the other end is connected to the latch, the cover is made in form of a square with an internal hole and two diametrically directed protrusions in one direction of different diameters, the smaller diameter is intended for installing the spring, and the larger one, on which a hole is made at the edge of the outer diameter, is intended for fixing and supporting the spring, the inner hole of the cover has two different diameters, the smaller diameter is intended for the bolt rod, with which the cover is attached to the body, and the larger diameter serves as a recession for the bolt head. The housing contains through holes for locking screws that secure the gripper from falling out upwards; in the lower part of the housing, on the side of both loops, bores are made in form of recessions for installing the elevator handle, in which threaded holes are made for attaching the handle to the housing with bolts. Further, transverse threaded holes are made in the body relative to the bolts for attaching the elevator handle and the bolt for fastening the latch cover, these threaded holes are connected with the said bolts, and locking screws are installed in the said threaded holes to prevent spontaneous opening of said bolts. On the side of the mouth of the pipe insertion, the ends of the body are made bevelled or in form of a cone.
