FIELD: elevators.

SUBSTANCE: lifting and gripping devices used primarily in the oil and gas industry in the process of round trips. A universal single-link pipe elevator includes a body pivotally connected to the shackle, a replaceable pipe grip, a replaceable insert, a grip handle, a body handle, fingers made in the shape of a cylinder with which the body is pivotally connected to the shackle, and a spring-loaded latch. The base of the case is made in the form of a crescent with two vertically directed lugs located parallel to each other. At the base of the body there is a gap for inserting the pipe; inside the base of the body there is a cylindrical bore, which forms a support platform in the lower part of the base of the body for installing the insert and gripper. The replaceable gripper is made in the shape of a crescent, the replaceable insert and the replaceable gripper in the open position together form a gap for inserting the pipe, and in the closed position they form a closed ring, which forms a closed elevator shape. The gripper is brought into the open or closed position by rotating around its axis using a handle, while the insert remains stationary. On the outside of the grip there is a threaded hole with a countersink for turning the handle. The grip handle contains at least one threaded connection; the handle contains an annular collar, which is buried in the grip countersink when it is screwed in and eliminates axial movement due to the annular collar resting on the inner part of the housing wall. The body contains stoppers that protect the grip from falling out; on the pipe insertion side, the ends of the jaw are chamfered or in the form of a cone or rounded.
