FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foamed silicate materials. The foamed glass composition contains the following components in pts. wt: finely ground glass mixture 100; calcium carbonate 0.5-2.0; kaolin 0.1-1.0, sodium nitrate 0.5-3.0; soluble glass 5.0-15.0; water 5.0-6.6. The mixture, calcium carbonate and kaolin are ground together. Sodium nitrate solution and soluble glass are sprinkled onto the obtained mixture to obtain 10-30% suspension. The obtained suspension is dried to residual moisture 5.0-6.6%, followed by foaming and thermal treatment.
EFFECT: low density of the obtained foamed glass, low heat conductivity and short process of producing the glass.
