SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used in the manufacture of tubular parts with a cross section that varies along the length from a billet in the form of a thin-walled single-layer or double-layer cylindrical pipe made of plastic metal. The billet is placed in a massive detachable form, the inner surface of which corresponds to the tubular part in shape and size. Carry out the centring of the billet relative to the form. An explosive charge in the form of a cord is placed along the axis of the blank, and intermediate supports are installed evenly along the length of the blank. The ends of the billet are hermetically sealed with plugs with technological holes for the passage of an explosive charge and with holes for filling water and displacing air. The inner space of the billet is filled with water with the displacement of air, after which the said holes are tightly closed and the explosive charge is detonated.

EFFECT: it is possible to simplify the process of manufacturing parts by eliminating a large number of stages and reducing the overall duration of the process.
