FIELD: measuring technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the amount of water contained in mutually immiscible oil products and free oil or natural gases. The claimed multiphase in-line moisture meter contains a flow cell with a flow part in form of a slot with a width of 3.3 to 4.5 mm placed on opposite sides of the flow cell opposite the optical windows and a source of infrared radiation in the near infrared region (NIR), made in form of a matrix of infrared LEDs for different values of the wavelength X in the range from the maximum oil absorption wavelength to the maximum water absorption wavelength, and a NIR radiation receiver is made in form of a broadband dual photodiode and connected to the primary signal converter. The wavelength of maximum oil absorption and the wavelength of maximum water absorption in the matrix correspond to LED assemblies consisting of four series-connected LEDs, and each of the intermediate wavelength values corresponds to one LED. The LEDs in the matrix and the dual photodiode of the NIR radiation receiver are mounted on Peltier modules placed on a heat-removing element connected to an external radiator.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of measuring the water content in the flow of the hydrocarbon mixture.
