FIELD: physics of gas discharge.

SUBSTANCE: physics of the study of electrical and emission (radiative) properties of gas in a wide range of temperatures and pressures. A device for synchronous measurement of plasma parameters is a shock tube for generating a high-speed shock wave, containing a high-pressure chamber (HPC) connected to a low-pressure chamber (LPC), in the wall of which at least one measuring probe, including a hollow metal tube, inside which an optical fibre is placed, while the probe is installed with a protrusion into the LPC cavity to a depth of 1 to 10 mm.

EFFECT: increase in the spatial accuracy of registration of a shock or detonation wave up to 50 microns.
