FIELD: oil refining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil refining, in particular to a method for assessing the quality of raw materials for the production of needle coke, and is aimed at simplifying and speeding up the process of assessing the quality of raw materials for the production of needle coke. The method is carried out as follows. Various types of raw materials are coked to produce cokes and the microstructure of the resulting cokes is determined in points. For each type of raw material, the optical absorption density of the raw material solution in an organic aromatic solvent is measured by electron spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and visible (280-780 nm) spectral regions, the absorption coefficient of the solution of each type of raw material is determined by the concentration of the raw material solution, then the integral oscillator force (ISO) is determined for each type of raw material in the visible region of the absorption spectrum and in the ultraviolet and the visible regions of the absorption spectrum, after which an integral factor of the relative absorption of the spectrum mk is determined for each type of raw material, which is the ratio ISO in the visible region of the absorption spectrum to ISO in the ultraviolet and visible regions of the absorption spectrum, and establish a graph of the dependence of the integral factor of the relative absorption of the mk spectrum on the coke microstructure in points. The quality of potentially suitable raw materials for the production of needle coke is assessed by measuring the optical absorption density of a solution of this raw material in an organic aromatic solvent by electron spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and visible (280-780 nm) regions of the absorption spectrum, followed by determining the absorption coefficient of the raw material by the concentration of its solution and calculating the integral factor of the relative absorption spectrum mk of the raw material as the ISO ratio in the visible region the absorption spectrum to ISO in the ultraviolet and visible regions of the absorption spectrum, and then the quality of coke raw materials in points is estimated using the obtained mk value of the raw materials using the above-set graphical dependence. Technical result – acceleration of the quality assessment process ISO in the visible region of the absorption spectrum to ISO in the ultraviolet and visible regions of the absorption spectrum, and establish a graph of the dependence of the integral factor of the relative absorption of the mk spectrum on the coke microstructure in points.
