FIELD: medicine; orthopedics; neurosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: perform incision 3 cm long in the axillary region along natural skin fold. The Open axillary fascia. Separate structures of neurovascular bundle. Enter an endoscopic retractor. Perform dissection of neurovascular structures proximally up to the costoclavicular space. Perform arm traction on the tested side by the shoulder anteriorly from of the patient and held in this position. Push the endoscopic retractor forward. Conduct an exploration of the supraclavicular part of the brachial plexus. Performed hemostasis followed by wound closure.
EFFECT: method allows to perform explorations of all areas of brachial plexus with one low-trauma transaxillary access with minimization of surgical trauma.
