FIELD: diagnosing water surface.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine anomalies of the water surface due to inhomogeneities of the underwater relief, traces of ships. One-dimensional optical images of the water surface are recorded capturing the horizon line and near-horizon part of the sky at low viewing angles using two optical systems based on CCD photodiode arrays. These optical systems are synchronized with each other by a single master oscillator and have the same direction of observation. Narrow-band interference filters with light transmission bands in the ultraviolet and red regions of the optical spectrum are installed on the lenses of optical systems. Spatiotemporal images are built on the basis of the registered one-dimensional optical images. Based on two obtained spatio-temporal images in different light ranges at points in the sky with an angular height of 1-7 degrees, the current values of the spectral brightness ratios of the near-horizon part of the sky are calculated by averaging the spectral brightness ratio within the sliding time window, which, when calculating the current ratio, is shifted by half the duration of the time window. At the same time, current value of the relative area of collapses is calculated from the obtained space-time image in the red region of the optical spectrum. A decision is made about the presence of an anomaly in case of simultaneous deviation of the current values of the ratios of the spectral brightnesses of the near-horizon part of the sky in both spectral ranges and the value of the current value of the relative area of collapses in the red region of the optical spectrum from the background values calculated from the background areas of spatio-temporal images.

EFFECT: reliable detection of water surface anomalies with reduced contrast.
