METHOD OF DISTAL MOVEMENT OF MOLARS IN THE UPPER JAW Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61C7/00

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the distal movement of the molars of the upper dentition. The analysis of cone-beam computed tomography of the maxillofacial area of the patient is carried out, on the basis of which the size of the mini-implant is determined. To obtain interdental spaces, separation rings are installed in the area of the contact surfaces of teeth 1.6 and 2.6. An impression is taken from the upper jaw and a model of the upper jaw is made. The apparatus is made of a cobalt-chromium alloy by casting, including rings for the molars of the upper jaw, united by a palatine clasp. The clasp has a bend and is equipped with a loop fastening for fixing an elastic chain. After applying the device in the oral cavity, by fixing it on the cement, a mini-implant is installed in the region of the median palatine suture distal to the palatine clasp. The elastic chain is activated once every 4 weeks with a tension force of 120 g, tension between the loop fastening of the apparatus and the mini-implant, and a control examination is carried out once a month.

EFFECT: method, due to the installation of a mini-implant in the most suitable place of the palatal suture and the presence of a bend in the clasp, which allows creating tension using an elastic chain, allows to reduce the period of treatment of patients, provides optimal physiological movement of the molars of the upper jaw without involving the teeth of the lower jaw, facilitates hygienic care of the cavity mouth and improves the quality of life and patient comfort during treatment.
