FIELD: nuclear medicine.
SUBSTANCE: to obtain metal-molybdate (metal-Mo), a metal molybdenum (Mo) material is reacted in a liquid medium with an acid to obtain a Mo composition, and the resulting composition is combined with a metal source to obtain a metal-Mo composition. The pH of this metal-Mo composition is then adjusted with a base, precipitating a plurality of metal-Mo particles. The acid may be selected from hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, hydrofluoric acid, boric acid, hydrobromic acid, perchloric acid, hydroiodic acid, halogenated acid, and combinations thereof. Different options of the method for obtaining metal-molybdate are proposed.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to obtain metal-molybdate materials suitable for use in technetium-99m generators.
