FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: material based on titanium-molybdate (Ti-Mo) and a method for its production. Method includes reacting a molybdenum (Mo) metal material in a liquid medium with the first acid to provide a Mo-based composition. Next, the Mo-based composition is mixed with a source of titanium to provide the Ti-Mo-based composition. The Ti-Mo-based composition can be pH adjusted with a base to precipitate multiple Ti-Mo particles. The material contains a plurality of Ti–Mo particles containing a porous structure that includes a plurality of pores, channels, or both. Moreover, one or more of the pluralities of Ti-Mo particles may independently contain a porous structure (for example, a porous matrix defined by a single Ti-Mo particle), including a plurality of pores, channels, or both.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining materials based on titanium-molybdate suitable for use in technetium-99m generators (Mo-99/Tc-99m generators).
