SUBSTANCE: improved immediate release solid dosage form of naproxen with a defined particle size distribution in the intragranular portion and a defined particle size distribution in the carbonate portion, which allows naproxen to remain in the solution and ensures rapid dissolution and rapid absorption of naproxen. The present invention provides a dosage form of naproxen which, when administered to the human body on an empty stomach for 10 minutes or less, provides an average plasma concentration of naproxen of at least 15-20 mcg/ml.
EFFECT: present invention provides methods of administering naproxen for the treatment of pain.
