FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing the efficiency of a reciprocating internal combustion engine includes converting the rotational motion into reciprocating motion of the toothed spring-loaded rod (3) of the piston (2). As a result, in the cylinder (1) of the engine, the processes of intake, compression, combustion and exhaust of combustion gases are carried out. Roller-rocker devices (13) and (14) mounted on the control shafts (8) and (9) alternately convert rotational movements into translational movements of the toothed spring-loaded piston rod (6). During the process, the rectilinear movement of the gear spring-loaded rod (6) of the piston (2) is converted into rotational movement of the gear rims (21), (22) of the ratchet wheels (23), (24) connected to the load shaft (29).
EFFECT: load constancy at the nominal operation mode of the engine and supplying the vehicle with energy in continuously changing driving conditions.
