FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a metal composite powder based on an aluminium alloy reinforced with silicon carbide particles, intended for the manufacture of parts of gas turbine engines by additive manufacturing. The method includes preparing a mixture of matrix aluminium alloy powders and silicon carbide reinforcing particles, comprising 15-20% by volume in the prepared mixture of powders. The prepared mixture is loaded into an attritor device and mechanical alloying is carried out in an argon atmosphere for 40 to 90 hours. Before preparing a mixture of powders, they are preliminarily vacuum dried at a temperature of 180-220°C, while using reinforcing particles with a size of 2 to 10 microns.
EFFECT: obtaining a metal composite powder of a given granulometric composition with a low content of gas impurities and with a uniform distribution of reinforcing particles.
