FIELD: power clamping elements.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used as an element for securing workpieces in machine tools. The thermomechanical power drive contains an elastic element, the ends of which are connected by elements 2 made of an alloy with shape memory, installed along the axis of the elastic element, and limiters 3, which do not allow the elastic element to elongate more than the value determined by the allowable deformation of the elements 2. The elastic element is made in form of sealed bellows 1 filled with high pressure gas.
EFFECT: creating a compact power drive and enabling to set the required force based on the maximum force impact.
