FIELD: hydrocarbons energy.
SUBSTANCE: measuring and analysing porous adsorbents, development of materials for the storage and separation of hydrocarbons, as well as preparations for preserving the freshness of agricultural products. Determination of the binding energy E of unsaturated hydrocarbons with open metal centres in porous materials is characterized by measuring the intensity of one of the peaks of the infrared spectrum of a hydrocarbon molecule, the frequency of which shifts during adsorption on open metal centres, as a function of time during the desorption of hydrocarbon molecules from the material at various temperatures, the desorption rate k is determined at each temperature by approximating the obtained dependences with a function of the type: I(t) = I0e-kt, where I0 is a constant, plot the desorption rates in Arrhenius coordinates as a function of reciprocal temperature and interpolate the experimental data with a linear function: , where A is a constant whose slope is used to determine the binding energy E.
EFFECT: possibility of selective detection of molecules of unsaturated hydrocarbons adsorbed on open metal centres and determination of their binding energy.
