SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tools for processing the surface of the workpiece. The tool is made with a manually operated rotating brush, with a brush unit and a drive unit (3) for the brush unit. The brush unit for processing the surface of the workpiece is made with a brush holder (5) driven in rotational motion and with an annular brush with a crown with bristles protruding outward. The annular brush is made with the possibility of movement with vibration and axial movement. For axial movement of the annular brush, the brush holder (5) is made at least two-component with a stationary bearing part (5a) and an axially moving brush part (5b). The stationary part (5a) of the bearing has a sleeve (B) for engaging and for the axially movable brush part (5b) of the plug-in pin (12), which is driven in rotation and axially loaded from the side of the drive unit (3) using a rotating brush holder (5). An eccentric (11') on the eccentric gear (11), which is loaded by means of the drive unit (3), as the next component made with the possibility of moving the part (5b) of the brush. Eccentric (11') is made with the possibility of impact through the trunnion (Z) on the plug-in trunnion (12) in the axial direction (A).
