FIELD: testing equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for mechanical testing of coatings and can be used in the study of materials by mechanical methods as part of laboratory equipment of factory laboratories, as well as in experimental production to determine the abrasion strength of coatings. The device comprises a frame, an electric motor, on the shaft of which there is a grinding mechanism and a device for fixing the abrasive element, which has the ability to move the abrasive element transversely in a perpendicular direction relative to the sample, whereas a spring mechanism with an indicator is installed on the frame to adjust the sample load on the grinding mechanism, a platform for fixing the sample, located coaxially with the grinding mechanism, a power supply connected to the electric motor control unit and to the electric motor speed generator, to which the electric motor speed control unit is connected, and the abrasive element is made in the form of a scratchbrush.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurements when testing coatings for wear resistance when documenting properties and calibrating an abrasive element that wears out during measurements.
