FIELD: molecular biology; virology; medicine.
SUBSTANCE: set of primers (direct and reverse) is presented for the species-specific identification of coronavirus by the Envelope protein gene fragment which are highly specific and resistant to genetic plasticity of other parts of the virus genome (this mainly concerns the S- and N-protein genes that are widely used to diagnose a new type of coronavirus). For the identification of SARC-CoV-2 in the proposed invention, the E-gene encoding the transmembrane protein E involved in protein folding in the Golgi complex, was selected.
EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of tools for detecting SARS-CoV-2.
