FIELD: electric power.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to warn aircraft pilots about the passage of linear objects located above the ground, for example, wires, steel cables, and also to prevent birds from landing on them. The signal marker is made of two metal spherical segments, facing one another with their edges to form a body of a spherical shape and having elements for fastening the marker on a linear object. The signal marker is provided with protection against corona discharge, made in form of a hollow convex belt of toroidal shape, located outside the surface of the spherical segments of the marker. In this case, the toroidal belt is made on the surface adjacent to the edge of at least one segment, and part of the edge of the other segment facing towards the other is located inside the volume formed by the toroidal belt. The end surface of the edge of the specified counter segment is located at a distance from the marker center, less than the outer surface of the toroidal belt, which is the most distant from the marker center.
EFFECT: eliminating the possibility of a corona discharge on the metal elements of the signal marker.
