SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to roller conveyor type devices and methods for drying veneer, as well as to a method for converting a dryer to form a device for drying veneer. The device for drying the veneer sheet (111) contains the first main roller (211) and the first auxiliary roller (212), together forming the first pair (210) of rollers, configured to move the veneer sheet (111) through the first gap (215) of the first pair (210). The device contains the second main roller (221) and the second auxiliary roller (222), together forming the second pair (220) of rollers, configured to move the veneer sheet (111) through the second gap (225) of the second pair (220). At least part of the first main jet chamber (311) is located between the main rollers (211, 221) and has a main bearing surface (313). Gaps (215, 225) define a flat calculated trajectory (T). The main imaginary plane (P1) which is defined by the first gap (215) and the main bearing surface (313) so that (i) the main imaginary plane (P1) is in contact with the main bearing surface (313) and (ii) the angle (β1) between the main imaginary plane (P1) and the flat design trajectory (T) is minimal, crosses the surface of the second main roller (221) along such first main line (111) of intersection that the main angle (α1), which is formed between the main imaginary plane (P1) and the tangent plane (TP1) of the second main roller (221) along the first main line (I11) of the intersection, is at least 115 degrees. Alternatively, the main imaginary plane (P1) does not intersect the surface of the second main roller (221). Method for converting a dryer to create such a device and a method for drying a veneer sheet using such a device are also proposed.

EFFECT: inventions should eliminate the jamming of the veneer dryer.
