FIELD: tire building drum.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an assembly forming part of the outer arcuate peripheral working surface of a tire building drum. The technical result is to limit the vibration, noise and/or resonance of a tire made using a belt-tread drum, simultaneously with higher coefficients of increase in the diameter of the drum and limiting deviations from its cylindrical shape. The technical result is achieved by a unit that contains the first and second intertwined support segments connected to the central support element, made with the possibility of reciprocating movement in the radial direction relative to the longitudinal axis of the tire assembly drum. Each of the first and second intertwined support segments contains: a plurality of central sections connected to each other near their lower surfaces; a plurality of first slots respectively formed between the central sections; a plurality of first fingers extending respectively from the central sections away from the central support element; a plurality of second fingers extending respectively from the central sections in the opposite direction from the first row of fingers and located above the central support element; and a plurality of second slots formed adjacent each of the respective second fingers. Moreover, the second fingers extending from each of the first and second intertwined support segments are located almost parallel above the central support element. In this case, the first grooves of each of the first and second interlaced support segments are respectively aligned relative to the second grooves of the other of the first and second interlaced support segments.
EFFECT: limiting the vibration, noise and/or resonance of a tire made using a belt-tread drum, simultaneously with higher coefficients of increase in the diameter of the drum and limiting deviations from its cylindrical shape.
