FIELD: measuring level of liquid media.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for measuring the water level in a well. The method for measuring the water level in a well based on the bubbling principle consists of using one bubbling tube to measure the liquid level, to the inlet of which a compressor, a pressure stabilizer, a throttle, the first controlled pressure injection valve, a digital overpressure sensor mounted on one level with the bubbler tube inlet, and the second controlled pressure equalization valve, the outlet of which is directed to the atmosphere, are connected in sequence, and the output of the digital overpressure sensor is connected to the computing unit, which measures the overpressure at the bubbler tube inlet as commanded by the control unit. When measuring the liquid level in the well, air pressure is injected into the bubble tube and the pressure is cyclically measured at a predetermined time interval. The ratio of the specified time interval and the measurement time is set equal to 0.1 of the cycle time. In this case, the estimate of the first derivative of the pressure measurement results is calculated according to the formula Ai = ΔPi/ΔTi, where ΔPi is the value of the pressure difference at the measurement points, ΔTi is the measurement cycle time. Upon reaching the difference value of [A(i+1)-Ai] equal to a set threshold value ΔAthreshold, or close to 0 the bubbling process is inactive, therefore, at the next cycle ΔTi+2 the bubble tube is continued to be pressurized, and upon reaching the difference value of [A(i+1)-Ai] which is more than a certain threshold value ΔAthreshold the bubbling process begins, therefore, the measurement cycle is stopped, for which the first valve is closed and after the time of the transition process and stabilization of the pressure in the bubbling tube, the height of the water column is calculated by the formula h = (Rstd – Ratm)/pg, where Rstd is a steady state pressure, Ratm is atmospheric pressure; then the second valve is opened and the pressure in the bubble tube is set equal to atmospheric pressure; measurements of the water level in the well are made cyclically, with a set period, and the average is calculated.
EFFECT: increase of the accuracy of measurements and an expansion of functionality.
