FIELD: measurement of level of water in water storages, rivers and observation wells of ground and underground waters, level of liquid in large reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: pressure of water column is measured with the use of bubbling tubes which lower ends are located at different depths. Specific weight of liquid is computed. Bubbling pressure is measured after termination of supply of compressed air simultaneously with measurement of gas temperature in bubbling tube. Fool compensation of gas pressure column in bubbling tube is conducted while measuring depth of liquid. Value of level of liquid above sea level or relative to some reference height is computed. Bubbling level indicator includes three bubbling tubes, source of compressed air and three valves. Buffer vessel incorporates pressure and temperature transmitters which outputs are connected to input of computation and control unit. EFFECT: enhanced measurement precision. 7 cl, 10 dwg
