FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device intended for boring out through holes. The cutter for boring out through holes consists of a head with a cutting element and a hollow holder. Inside the hollow holder there is a vortex tube in the form of a cold air flow diffuser and a hot air flow diffuser communicating with the atmosphere. The hot air flow diffuser is made with an outer heat-insulating coating and is equipped with an adjustable output throttle. The head with the cutting element is fixed in the hole with the possibility of interaction with the cold air flow diffuser.
EFFECT: intensification of heat removal from the cutting element and increased tool life.
