SUBSTANCE: invention is related to production of ceramic pigments. The method for producing pigment for ceramics includes mixing vanadium production waste and crystalline schists at a ratio of 1:(4.0-4.1), wet grinding, firing at a temperature of 800°C for 2 hours, followed by dry grinding for 0.5 hours. As a result of firing, the jacobsite phase MnFe2O4 is formed, which gives the pigment a black colour.

EFFECT: accelerating the technological process while reducing energy consumption.
