SUBSTANCE: method can be used to stabilize the second molars in the lower jaw when using the Herbst apparatus. Simultaneously with the application of the Herbst apparatus, orthodontic implants are installed in the retromolar regions on the left and right connected to the lower second molars using a metal ligature attached using a composite material to the vestibular surface of the tooth crown.
EFFECT: method allows, by stabilizing the position of the second lower molars, to reduce the duration of treatment and prevent changes in the inclination of the second lower molars in the mesio-distal direction during their distal movement.
