FIELD: dental devices.
SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the field of dental devices, in particular, to dental devices and methods for fixing and correcting the position of the tongue. In accordance with the first aspect, a dental device for restricting the movement of the back region of the patient's tongue allowing the front region and the lateral edges of the tongue to perform the movements required for speech and swallowing, containing an attachment mechanism for attaching the dental device to the teeth in the patient's oral cavity, including an open circular tape, connecting element is presented. In accordance with other aspects, a dental device comprising an attachment mechanism for fixing the dental device to teeth in a patient's mouth, and assemblies for use by the patient in an individual tongue restriction plan, the assemblies including a limiting mechanism, an adjustment mechanism, and a locking mechanism are presented.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to eliminate respiratory disorders during sleep associated with tongue dysfunction, while providing the possibility of movements of the back region, tip and side ribs of the tongue required for speech and swallowing.
