METHOD FOR COMPUTER DESIGNING OF DENTAL DEVICES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61C7/00

Abstract RU 2687867 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine and involves methods for computer designing of dental devices intended for correction of patient's dental position, and computer-readable carrier. It is accepted by computer system of digital display of three-dimensional (3D) structure of patient's teeth. Initial positions of one or more patient's teeth are specified by 3D structure of patient's teeth. Computer system is used to determine the size and shape of a detachable dental device for the patient, providing the possibility of changing the position of one or more patient's teeth from their initial positions to corrected positions when the patient wears the above removable dental device. Computer system is used to display a removable dental unit in a computerized production system. Removable dental device comprises a main portion of the device configured to envelope two or more patient's teeth. Main part of the device containing an active fringe and at least one retainer comprises a front part configured to be fixed with faces of the embraced teeth and a lingual portion configured to be fixed with lingual sides of the embraced teeth. Main part of the device is designed so that when the patient wears a removable dental device, the occlusal surfaces of the patient's covered teeth remain open. As an option, the detachable dental device comprises any of the face parts configured to be fixed with the embraced teeth faces; and a lingual portion configured to be fixed with lingual sides of the embraced teeth.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables comfortable correction of patient's teeth position, reduced visibility of dental device, slowing down growth of dental calculus due to the fact that the occlusal surfaces of the patient's covered teeth remain open, making the structure of the dental device for separate dental groups.
