FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for reagent treatment of centrate used in coagulation to flocculate and their further sedimentation in settling tanks. Centrate reagent treatment method includes centrate injection through a feed unit into a vertically oriented mixing chamber with an activator placed inside it, suspended particles coagulation in the process of centrate interaction with an activator, and removal of coagulated water. Centrate is introduced into the housing, the internal cavity of which has a square cross-section and a ratio of width and height of 1:3 and is divided into a mixing chamber with a volume of 85% of the volume of the housing cavity and a drainage chamber communicated with each other from above and below, and a drainage chamber, an activator is placed in the mixing chamber, which is used as a floating load in the form of expanded polystyrene cubes with a side size of 15 mm, the total volume of which is 1/3 of the volume of the housing cavity. Centrate is injected with a head of 12 m through the supply unit, made in the form of a pipeline with a diameter of 6.5% of the width of the body cavity, oriented parallel to the mixing chamber with consequent and from bottom to top placed branch pipes for pressure supply of sea water, aluminum sulfate and an alkaline reagent, the distance between which is 40% of the width of the body cavity, and an outlet located above the floating load, and simultaneously with the start of centrate movement in the pipeline, chemical reagents are introduced into the supply unit, which use sea water with a density of 1025 kg/m3 in an amount of 3-5% of centrate volume with a back pressure of 1.2 kg/cm2, 10% aqueous solution of aluminum sulfate on Al2 (SO4)3 in the amount of 1.5-3% of the centrate volume with a back pressure of 1.2 kg/cm2 and alkaline reagent - 10% aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide in the amount of 0.08-0.12% of the centrate volume with a back pressure of 1.2 kg/cm2. The specific amount of chemical reagents is determined by the trial coagulation method.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the purified centrate by increasing the efficiency of the flocculation process; intensive, controlled and staged pre-mixing of the centrate with separately introduced chemical reagents.
