FIELD: pharmaceutical packaging.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glass pharmaceutical packages having damage-resistant coatings. The coated pharmaceutical packaging includes a glass body having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the first surface being the outer surface of the glass body; a damage-resistant coating formed by deposition of an atomic layer, wherein the coating is located on at least a part of the first surface of the glass body and contains a plurality of layers, each of the plurality of layers having a thickness of about 0.1-5 nm.
EFFECT: invention provides a coating that imparts increased strength and durability to glass products.
