SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods for manufacturing flexible fibre optic tapes. The optical fibre cable includes a plurality of flexible ribbons, a number of first connection areas, and a second connection area. Each of the plurality of flexible ribbons includes a number of optical fibres. Adjacent of the plurality of optical fibres are attached to each other via one of the number of first connection areas. The second connection area connects the first of the number of flexible bands to the second of the number of flexible bands.
EFFECT: reduced cable dimensions.
