FIELD: fiber-optic cables.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fiber-optic cables of free buffer type and method of their production. Free buffer includes multiple optical fibers and a tube, which holds multiple optical fibers together with a filler. Plurality of optical fibers make an intermittently connected fiber-optic band. Connecting parts of the optical fiber tape, each of which connects adjacent optical fibers, are located intermittently. Intermittently connected fiber-optic tape is located inside the tube in a state in which a plurality of optical fibers constituting the discontinuously connected fiber-optic tape are connected to the bundle by treshing intermittently connected fiber-optic tape in one direction.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of diameter of free buffer, which includes fiber-optic tape.
